I work with clients experiencing a wide variety of problems and difficulties such as Abuse, Anger, Anxiety, Bereavement, Bullying, Depression, Family issues, Relationships, Stress, Self-harm Self-esteem, Self-confidence and Work related issues.
Continued Professional development and further training are an integral part of my practice. Training areas include working therapeutically with clients with Asperger’s, Safeguarding Children, Physical/Sexual/Emotional Abuse, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Therapy Appoach
I am aware that clients are initially apprehensive meeting a therapist for the first time. It is important that this is acknowledged from the initial meeting. My aim is to genuinely help clients feel at ease and develop a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, trust and positive regard creating a safe place which enables clients to work through some of their deepest fears and emotions.
I practice from an integrative perspective, integrating theoretical knowledge and skills from Person Centred, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural theory. I strive to work with each client to create a unique approach adapted to suit individual needs thus maximising opportunities for clients to manage their problems/difficulties and make the changes they want in their lives.
